Browser access: Runs in your browser at app.ownerkits.com and can be installed like an app (PWA). No account or password.
Offline use: Works offline after the first load and license activation. Internet is needed to activate, to update, and for an occasional license re-check.
Your data: Your business data is stored on your device (browser storage) and is never uploaded to OwnerKits. The license check sends only your license key, a random device ID and a device label.
Backup: Create .bizkit backup files any time (optional password encryption) and restore them on any computer. Built-in Google Drive backup is coming soon.
Excel: Export your whole business to one Excel workbook, edit it, and import it back with a preview, validation and conflict review.

What exactly do I receive?

A download (one ZIP) and a license key. The ZIP holds 16 PDF guides and templates with an editable Word version of each, 4 Excel workbooks, a Start Here guide and an app guide. The license key activates the Business Command Center app in your browser.

Is the app included in the price?

Yes. Your purchase includes a license for 1 lawn care and landscaping business on up to 3 devices.

Does it cover mowing only, or landscape projects too?

Both. The kit covers recurring maintenance (mowing, bed weeding, shrub and hedge trimming), seasonal work (spring and fall cleanups, leaf removal, haul-away), aeration and overseeding, mulch and beds, and small projects such as planting beds, sod, edging, stepping stones and decorative rock. Snow removal is included as an optional off-season service.

Does the kit tell me what to charge?

No. It gives you a method and calculators. Every price in the kit is an example. You enter your own labor cost, drive time, equipment cost, overhead and supplier prices, and time your own mowing and trimming, and the calculators work out your price from those numbers.

How do seasonal monthly plans work in the kit?

The Seasonal Plan Calculator turns a per-visit price into planned visits, a season total, equal monthly payments and a prepay price, and shows any rounding difference. The Seasonal Maintenance Agreement starter lists the terms you decide and write down, such as how rain-delayed visits, dry spells and end-of-season reconciliation are handled.

Does the kit cover fertilizer and weed control?

Only as a licensed-only service. Chemical application is regulated, so the kit gives no products, rates, timing or methods. It helps you check which licenses apply in your area, and it helps you refer that work to a licensed applicator if you don't hold them. Verify local requirements (state pesticide applicator licensing).

Can I set up weekly and every-two-weeks customers in the app?

Yes. Visits can repeat weekly, every two weeks or every four weeks until a date you choose, such as your season end. Each customer can store a route zone and service day. The app does not draw maps or plan routes. You order your stops by zone and day.

Does the app send texts to my customers?

No. The kit gives you ready-to-copy message templates for email, SMS and WhatsApp. You send them from your own phone or email.

Does the app work offline?

Yes, once it has loaded on your device and your license is activated. You need internet to activate the first time, to receive updates and for an occasional license re-check.

Where is my business data stored?

On your device, in your browser's storage. Your customers, invoices and numbers are not uploaded to OwnerKits. The app only contacts the license server to check your license.

What if I lose my phone or computer?

Restore your latest backup file on the new device (app.ownerkits.com → Backup → Restore) and carry on. Anything entered after your last backup can't be recovered, so back up regularly and keep the file somewhere other than that device.

Can I keep using Excel or Google Sheets?

Yes. The kit includes 4 workbooks, and the app exports your whole business to Excel and imports it back with a change review. It is export → edit → import, not live sync.

Is this accounting or tax software?

No. It tracks revenue, expenses, profit and cash flow so you understand your business. It doesn't file taxes, take card payments or connect to your bank.

Is there a subscription?

No. You pay once. Updates within version 1.x are included.
